installation openings ‘classroom’ and ‘libre acceso’
(arc en rêve) & live show Buster

The festival's opening party coincides with the inauguration of video installations by this edition’s guest institution, which reflect on the role of architecture in shaping collective life across different geographies. Classroom. A Teenage View explores the impact of school spaces on youth development. Curated by Joaquim Moreno, with Ivo Poças Martins, the installation was previously shown at arc en rêve (Bordeaux), CCB (Lisbon), and Z33 (Hasselt). Libre Acceso. Espacio público contemporáneo en América Latina, first exhibited at the Centro Cultural La Moneda (Santiago, Chile), examines the transformation of public space in Latin America. Through seven short films, it presents urban and architectural interventions that reinvent collective life in the most urbanized region on the planet. The project is curated by FIG Projects (Fabrizio Gallanti and Francisca Insulza) and will be presented at arc en rêve in 2026. The event will feature a live performance by Buster, musician and former resident of Bairro do Aleixo. This programme is part of the MaisFRANÇA 2025 initiative, promoted by the Institut Français du Portugal.
