This is the first version of a documentary that is part of a social research and community intervention initiative. The project is aimed at the (re)creation of a memory community of former residents of the Bairro do Aleixo, in Porto, who were evicted and relocated to other public housing neighborhoods following the demolition of the area, which took place between 2011 and 2019. Developed in a format close to oral history and structured around the collection of life narratives from former residents - many of whom also served as members and leaders of the local association - the project seeks to (re)construct a space for sharing and dialogue around trajectories and experiences of residential and social mobility, marked by significant changes in living conditions. In many cases, these changes were both compulsory and repeated (from Ribeira-Barredo to Aleixo, from Aleixo to other neighborhoods), often reflecting processes of political and social relegation. This programme is part of the Dislocations initiative, in partnership with the Institute of Sociology and the Museu da Pessoa.
