At the closing gathering, the results of the Architecture of the Eye workshop will be presented. Running in parallel with the festival and led by South African photographer and architect Leon Krige, the workshop shares outputs from its two modules - urban space and contemporary architecture - with participants present. This moment is also part of the Open House Porto programme, in which INSTITUTO is included this year.

As part of Urban Age, we are organising a photography workshop led by one of the most prominent figures in contemporary urban photography, South African photographer Leon Krige. Applications are open until May 15 — more information via the link in bio. The workshop takes place during the 13th edition of Arquiteturas Film Festival, from July 1 to 5, 2026, and explores both digital and analog photography techniques in daylight and nighttime conditions. The programme combines fieldwork in Porto’s historic centre with sessions in some of the city’s iconic buildings.
