genius loci as a drifter is a medium-length documentary exploring the transatlantic legacy of migration between Calabria and Brazil. Set in São Paulo’s Bixiga neighbourhood, it reflects on memory, identity, and displacement, examining how European migrant histories have shaped the city while often overshadowing other marginalised narratives. Moving between personal archives and urban space, the film approaches the city as a layered, evolving site of belonging.
