Women in the City features the first women to settle in the city's outlying neighborhoods. Through their lives in three Seville neighborhoods, we discover how they are the backbone of a city that has turned its back on them. Their stories address gender, caregiving, urban planning, education, and political struggles. Their testimonies are key to understanding Spain’s cultural heritage and urban transformation over the past 50 years from a gender perspective.
