Norway, 2019, 20’
“Landscape Healing” is a documentary film directed by Richard John Seymour, a British photographer and director living and working in Lisbon, who was nominated for the 2017 BAFTA awards. The film features the largest rewilding effort ever undertaken in Norway and the role of architecture in this effort. The film was produced by the architectural studio 3RW arkitekter, which has been collaborating with the Norwegian armed forces since 2000. The project consists of transforming vast rural areas in Norway previously used as military training camps, into sites for wild nature and also enjoyment by society. The film explores the role of architecture and design in this public sector initiative, and how the interaction between various disciplines has made this project possible.
