Festival’s program is announced in MAAT

Arquiteturas will have its presentation on 5 October at 06h00pm, part of the opening program to the public of the new museum building MAAT – Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology.
Festival theme and program presentation of the fourth edition of ARQUITETURAS FILM FESTIVAL, followed by a screening of the film BLOCKCHAIN by collective Space Caviar.

Space Caviar — Joseph Grima and Martina Muzi Itália, 2015, 34’
Blockchain is a digital docudrama set inin the limitless universe of Minecraft. The film follows the ghost of Walter Gropi-usonan extended dèrive through ten of the gameಬs worlds, shadowing him ashe ponders the social and political fun-damentals of creativity. Fragments of conversations with the creators of maps and servers, memories from the past, ob-servations, speculations and conjecturesof one of the 20th centuryಬs great utopians intersect with a transnational digital universe in which learning, labor and play are all mediated by the basic shape of the block. Presented during the exhibition “The Bauhaus #itsalldesign” at VITRA Design Museum, Weilam Rhein, 2015.
Space Caviar is an architecture and research studio operating at the intersection of design, technology, politics and the public realm. Founded by Joseph Grima and Tamar Shafrir, the office uses built work, exhibitions, publishing, writing andfilm to investigate and document contemporary modes of habitation and the spatialisation of social and political practice. Space Caviarಬs work has been shown at the Venice Architecture Biennale, the Victoria and Albert Museum, Biennale Interieur, Vitra Design Museum and the Munich Film Museum, among others.
