ÁLVARO DOMINGUES and DIOGO SEIXAS LOPES
In 1976, the director Fernando Lopes made a film in a visit to his motherland to understand how is mother lived trough the 25th of April revolution. This perspective resulted in a film “Nós por cá tudo bem”. Twenty years passed, in 1996, he returns again to Várzea dos Amarelos with a film “God Willing ..”. In this film, he switches the view of the tradicional pig killing to “a triumph of normalized pigs” – that was the time to become a member of the European Union and the village received supermarkets and bars. In 2012, the book “Street Road” by geographer Alvaro Domingues was adapted to a film, through a percpective of the filmaker Graça Castanheira.
Álvaro Domingues and architect Diogo Seixas Lopes, who participated in “God willing …” as an assistant director, will be the protagonists of this conversation whose topic will be the Portuguese territory and some of its transformations that these films so brilliantly capture.

RODRIGO AREIAS and JORGE FIGUEIRA
In 1960, Fernando Tavora went around the world on a journey that passed by the United States, Mexico, Tokyo, Egypt, among other destinations. “1960” is a road movie directed by Rodrigo Areias, where he revisited the places where the architect had spent half a century before, always accompanied by some of the reflections that Tavora was noting in his “Diary”.
This conversation between the director and the architect Rodrigo Areias Jorge Figueira will be explored some architectural issues raised during this trip and an attempt will also notice how the movie of “1960” contributed to better communicate.

EDGAR PÊRA and NUNO GRANDE
The director Edgar Pera and the architect Nuno Grande will be the protagonists of this conversation taking place around the act of shooting architecture. Worked together in the film “Architecture of weight,” directed by Edgar Pera in 2007, which resulted in a proposal for Nuno Grande and Jorge Figueira to integrate the exhibition “Europe, Portuguese architecture in issue.”
“Architecture Weight” will launch the motto of this conversation that may also undergo other films architectural performed by Edgar Pera, as “The City of Cassiano” and “Stadium” as the participation of the architect Nuno Grande in various audiovisual productions on architecture, such as the television program “The House and the City” or more recently the completion of his film “Sacred”.
